Science communication is the art of informing, educating, and inspiring the public about the importance of science. The urgency to increase scientific literacy and advocacy leads to the rise of science communication in recent years. Science communication has attracted the attention of institutions and research facilities all around the world. Effective communication is a skill that needs to be practiced. However, these avenues are not readily available for students.
For this reason, Enventure has established a podcast and a blog to fulfill this need. The Enventure Life Science Innovation podcast is a monthly podcast that showcases life science innovation happening in Texas. The goals of this podcast are 1) to inspire students and young professionals with an entrepreneurial drive to venture into medical innovation, 2) to serve as a stepping stone for Enventure members who are interested in science communication to improve their communication skills on a novel platform, 3) to provide a networking opportunity for the podcast episode's host(s) to reach out to a potential mentor or employer and establish a relationship with that person.
